Mr Jones Alhassan Abu, Ghana’s renowned football administrator and the Chief Executive Officer of Tamale City Football Club finally meets his maker.

Ghana’s renowned football administrator and the Chief Executive Officer of Tamale City Football Club, Mr Jones Alhassan Abu has been laid to rest after his sudden demise in Ivory Coast.

He was buried today in accordance with Islamic teachings at the Tamale main cemetery.

According to reports from the football club, the decease collapse at the Ivory Coast airport, but was pronounced dead at the hospital.

He led the football club (Tamale City FC) to the french country over the weekends for a football match.

Mr Alhassan Abu was a Member of Ghana’s contingent for the doubleheader friendlies against Mali and Qatar in Turkey. 

He was a management committee member of the Black Stars.

Jones was also part of the contingent that sent Hasaacas Ladies F.C. to Ivory Coast for a maiden qualification of the women’s champion league and has been very instrumental in the successes of so many clubs and players.
