Central Region:NDC Disqualifies 3 Out of 56 parliamentary Aspirants As 5 Goes Unopposed

Central Region:NDC Disqualifies 3 Out of 56 parliamentary Aspirants As 5 Goes Unopposed

Vetting committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Central Region vetting committee on Tuesday disqualified three parliamentary aspirants of the party who filled nominations to contest various positions at the constituency level.

Out of the 56 aspirants were vetted three candidates from Upper Denkyira West, Agona West and East were disqualified for various issues relating to the vetting guidelines.

Briefing the media after the vetting the National organizer of party, Mr Joseph Yamin who was the chairman of the vetting committee announced to the media that five constituencies including Ajumako Enyan Essiem, Awutu Senya West, Assin  Central, Upper Denkyira East and West having their aspirants gone unoppose.

He again stated that the vetting committee vetted 20 out of the 23 constituencies while three constituencies were on hold. 

The vetting which started from Monday 3rd April to Tuesday 4th April 2023 saw all the party aspirants and some of the delegates within the various constituencies of the region clad in their party colours and gracing the exercise at the regional party office in cape coast. 

Mr Yamin thanked the aspirants for comporting themselves and urged them to do  clean campaign and refrain from politics of insults, saying NDC'S targets in the central region is to win 20 parliamentary seats out of the 23 as well as the presidential come 2024.
