Central region: Slumped bridge killed three persons at Awutu Okulo Nkwanta Datus.

Residents and drivers at Awutu Okulo Nkwanta datus in Awutu Senya west district of the central region are currently living in fear and panic as a collapsed bridge that serves as a bundle between Awutu Senya West and Ga south killed three persons.

According to the residents in the area, the collapsed bridge has made the road inaccessible to motorists and commuters which they describe the situation as very worrying and pathetic.

Soireenews''' visit to the scene saw a caution of red danger being fixed to warn users of the collapsed bridge.

Due to the situation, people in the area can not cross the bridge which has made daily work activities very complex.

Speaking with soireenews, the resident stated that school children can no longer go to school due to the collapsed bridge.

The residents of Okulo Nkwanta datus have therefore called on the government as a matter of urgency to come to their aid before many people will die.

Meanwhile, a soireenews reporter also spoke to the member of parliament for the area Hounrable Gizella Agbotui Tetteh who also express worries about the situation and says this situation is the same as Twifo praso one so she pleaded with the government to help construct the bridge because her people at that area is in danger.

The member of parliament hinted that her constituents who stay at Okulo Nkwanta datus and its environs are living in fear and panic.

She has therefore appealed to Ghana feeder roads to address the collapsed bridge issue immediately to make journeys accessible in the area.
