Ghana says they are  considering the option of supporting organic products

The British Embassy in  Ghana says they are  considering the option of supporting organic products such as alata samina to the British market to create employment for the rural communities in Ghana.

The embassy says the demand for organic soaps on the British market is high hence the need for proper packaging to break onto the market.

The British High Commissioner to Ghana Her Excellency Harriet Thompson has indicated her government will support organic products, particularly alata samina.

According to her, the demand for organic products on the British market is high hence the need to support the production of organic soap to meet export standards in the UK.

Speaking to  Soireenews Reporter after a tour of alata Samina base in Bawjiase, the High Commissioner indicated that there are plans to partner the livelihood program of the embassy to that of the small scale businesses in that enclave to shape their production line.

Meanwhile, Some of the Producers of local Ghanaian organic soap known as alata Samina in Awutu Bawjiase enclave call for financial support to enlarge across the borders of the country.

They lament that, apart from financial support they also want to mechanize their production by moving from the use of firewood to gas to end reduce air pollution.


Furthermore, the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West Gizella Tetteh Agbotui pledged to support the UK High Commissioner in exporting organic soup to Europe.
