Catholic Church, Kumasi Adum

The Archbishop of Kumasi, Most Rev. Gabriel Justice Anokye has called the Catholic communities across Ghana to strongly support the fight against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQI)

in a letter written to parishes and the Catholic community in the Kumasi Metropolitan Area dated Wednesday, October 13, 2021, and signed by the Kumasi Archbishop, Most Rev Gabriel Justice Anokye, he has said that "intensifying prayers, fasting and participating in Police approved demonstrations to support parliamentarians" in passing the anti-gay bill is the focus.

He has further cautioned the LGBTQI+ communities to reconsider a new orientation of their ideas and conversion of hearts.

The Parliament of Ghana is preparing to pass legislation to criminalize all aspects of LGBTQ+ in the country.
