The Regional command has 172 Police personnels upgrading themselves to sharpen their skills for the service.

The Northern Regional Police Command has conducted a training session for his personnel who are due for promotion.

This training session is to equip the police and update them on evolving criminal activities and the modus operandi of the criminals.

The Regional Police Commander, COP Timothy Yoosa Bonga who set off the training and promotions program on Monday, June 14, 2021, said,  the activity is to equip Police Officers nationwide to be able to combat crime in the country.

Their ability to detect crime, weapon handling techniques, conduct lawful arrest, investigation, prevention of prisoner escape, code of Ethics, and the penalties of misconduct for officers is inclusive

The three weeks program is designed for all levels of personnel to arm themselves at every level. Participating officers will then write promotional exams to improve their understanding.

The regional command has 172 Police personnels upgrading themselves to sharpen their skills for the service.

He added the facilitators are well-equipped and they have a lot of experience in the service.
