Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been eliminated from the CAF Confederations Cup after losing to FC San Pedro by 2-0 on Sunday evening at Ivory Coast.

The Porcupine Warriors entered into the second leg with a 1-0 aggregate after claiming the three points at the Baba Yara Stadium last week through Naby Keita’s extra time penalty strike.

An early goal from Soumaro Cheick cancelled out Kotoko’s boast as the homesters dominated possession to end the first half.

Chances came the way of the Porcupine Warriors but Richard Arthur and Kelvin Andoh failed to position Kotoko as the game progressed.

A late second half strike by Tidjae Diomande ensured qualification for the Ivorians at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium denying Kotoko a Group stage appearance in the tournament.
