Buduburam primary school headmaster, wife, and five children burnt to ashes in fire outbreak

Residents of Gomoa Buduburam were in a state of shock and sorrow after a fire trapped and burnt into ashes the Buduburam D/A primary "D" headmaster, wife, and five children in a three-bedroom apartment house at Buduburam Nurses quarters.

Source says, the headmaster Mr.  Robert Asan Donkor the deceased was 57 years, his wife was 51 years adding that his firstborn was 23 years whiles his last born was just a five months baby.

Some Residents, as well as eyewitnesses, noted that they heard loud screaming calling for help so they quickly called the fire service but upon reaching the scene, all the family of seven were dead.

Soireenews  Speaking in an interview with the Station operations officer of Ghana National Fire service ADO2 Patrick Bawa hinted that they had a distress call around 6:30am this morning and upon reaching the scene at 6:40am , the place was burnt beyond recognition where seven bodies were retrieved and have been sent to police mortuary for preservation.

He further stated that the cause of the fire is not known for now whiles investigations have been launched into the unfortunate incident.


ADO2  has advised the general public to be vigilant and careful with old electrical cables as well as  switching off all switches and electrical gadgets after use


The Assembly Member for Buduburam electoral area Mr. Lot Authur who was at the scene expressed shock and condolences to the families.

He has appealed to the government to support the family since this is a big blow to the family.
