Breaking the 8 without Wontumi as chairman is a failed agender - Adansi NPP caucus declares

The new patriotic party caucus in the Adansi has declared their support for the Ashanti regional incumbent chairman,

The new patriotic party caucus in the Adansi enclave comprising the Obuasi West constituency, Obuasi East constituency, Akrofuom constituency, Fomena constituency, Adansi Asokwa constituency, and the New Edubiase constituency has declared their support for the Ashanti regional incumbent chairman, Benard Antwi Boasiako known as Chairman Wontumi in the Upcoming regional election elections which will be held on May 27th.

Speaking in an interview with Mr. Kwame Owusu, NPP chairman of the Adansi Asokwa constituency on behalf of the caucus he disclosed that the incumbent chairman is the only person the party could rely on breaking the 8 agender.

Explaining that, looking at how Wontumi has served the party for the past 8-years he deserves to be given the nod to continue his chairmanship position.

"When the fight became tough between NPP and NDC, it took Wontumi to fight and rescue the party from going into opposition this alone tells how he deserves another term as regional chairman",

Adding that, I keep hearing some NPP faithful saying Wontumi has served for two terms hence he should allow another person to take the mantle, that is a pity, if Wontumi can not serve as chairman for another four (4) years then NPP can not break the 8 because it is an equal thing," Kwame Owusu stressed.

He took the opportunity to site an example of how the chairman's television and radio station has supported the party regarding the publication of the party's good work done.
