Breaking news: Sekondi-Takoradi MCE arrested for assault on a Police Officer

Honourable Abdul-Mumin Issah, the Municipal Cheif Executive for the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly has been arrested, according to a police statement.

He was arrested by the Western Regional Police Command today, Thursday, 3rd February 2022, for an alleged motor traffic offence, verbal assault and offensive conduct against a Police Officer who was performing his lawful duty.

There was an earlier report about how the chief executive threatened the police officer, and further bragged to transfer him from the area.

Honourable Abdul-Mumin is expected to appear in court tomorrow Friday to answer his charges.
