Breaking News: Newborn Baby Found Dead In Obuasi-Asonkore
The boy is believed to have been born in a hospital environment as there were not blood on his body, according to the residents.

A NEWBORN baby boy with umbilical cord intact wrapped in white cloth has been found dead under the tree in the community in Obuasi called Asonkore in the Ashanti Region.
The boy was discovered dead under the tree around 3: o'clock am after a heavy downpour on Thursday September 8, 2022 by a man (named withheld).
The boy is believed to have been born in a hospital environment as there were not blood on his body, according to the residents.
It is unclear who the mother is, and the police have been informed by the Assembly member of Asonkore Electoral Area, Honorable Kwadwo Boafo about the incident which is being investigated.
The Assembly member has since appealed to the residents in Asonkore and its adjoining communities to help find who is the mother of the baby for a punitive sanction to be committed to her to serve as deterrent to the others.
Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com, Honourable Boafo described the incident as unfortunate and heartbreaking and worry.
Mr Boafo pointed out that when he had the information, he rushed to the scene and spotted that the boy was dumped under a tree covered with the branches of the trees.
He stated that since the baby was found dead they cannot do anything to make him survive, saying that he lodged an official complain with the police about the incident of the dead of the boy.
He stated that a critical examination conducted on the dead body of the baby clearly shows that the boy was born in the hospital before his mother came to dump him dead under the tree.
