The Award-Winning Best Bono Regional Best Midwife, Mrs. Lydia Ampomah has sent a word of advice to his colleague nurses and midwives to embrace their work and work with a good heart. 

Speaking to Sorienews Correspondent Opamago Paparichy in Berekum, Mrs. Lydia who is working at the Mpatasie Clinic in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono Region, said she desired to work as a nurse to transform the bad name most nurses have attracted for the profession and the past 10 years has aspired to be a nurse. 

She said became a nurse out of the passion she has had for the work for the past 10 years and has now won the best Midwife in the Bono Region. 

Mrs. Lydia who is currently working at the Mpatasie Clinic after he was transferred from Senase in the Berekum Municipality did her best to convert one of the rooms of the clinic for delivery purposes at the clinic to start delivering pregnant women in the area. 

In her innovative service again continue to also turn her room of accommodation to be used for the clinic labor ward to be able to admit pregnant women and patients to the clinic. 

She explained that, many are the criticism nurses are receiving from the general public but added, that nurses and midwives should try as much they could to keep sacrificing for humanitarian purposes to save lives.

She concluded that, though the profession is a noble one but full of challenges but called on all her colleague nurses, and midwives to have the belief in them to work to achieve the purpose of accepting the profession as lifelong work.
