Bono Region: MCE distributes free school uniforms to students

The Wenchi Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Alexander Obour Damoah has distributed 160 free school uniforms to one hundred and sixty brilliant but needy students within the municipality.
Addressing the pupils, he said the NPP government has education as of its priorities hence introducing of Free education policy from the basic to a senior high level and has plans to extend it to tertiary institutions.
Honorable Alexander Obour Damoah urged the pupils to take the opportunity of Free education and study assiduously so that
they can become great men and women shortly.
He seized the opportunity to advise the teachers to also keep their eyes on the school children since parents have their trust in them to inculcate into their children to become good citizens and responsible in the future.
The beneficiary schools included Amoahkurom M/A, Awisa basic, Amponsahkurom basic, and subinso II R/C basic school respectively.
40 free school uniforms were donated to each school.
