The Bono has held its national cathedral fundraising at the F. D. Walker Temple of the Church of the Pentecost in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region.

The Bono has held its national cathedral fundraising at the F. D. Walker Temple of the Church of the Pentecost in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region.


The event brought together traditional leaders, business executives, municipal and district chief executives, members of the various Christian groups, and the Bono Regional Minister.
The Bono Regional Minister Justina Owusu Banahene disclosed that the national cathedral would be the rallying point for the Christian community to come together to worship and pray for God’s guidance in building the country. 
 She commended the religious community for embracing and buying into the vision and shaping it to reflect its current national status.
Considering the compliments of the Cathedral and its economic benefits which were enormous,  she pledged that she together with her MMDCEs in the region will support the national cathedral with hundred thousand Ghana cedis (100,000).
The Chairman of the Bono Regional Committee for the national cathedral, Rt. Rev. Festus Yeboah Yeboah recounted that “the vision of the construction of the cathedral was born out of President Nana Akuffo Addo’s campaign promise to honor God”.
He, therefore, called on the Christian fraternity to rally behind this vision to make it a reality.
The Head of Church relations unit and executive assistant, Rev. Ebenezer Saka Ameyaw indicated that the national cathedral which is expected to be completed on 6th March 2024 is expected to accommodate 5,000 to 20, 000 people. 
He explained that it will take 7 days for one to tour the entire national cathedral. 
He entreated the public to join the 100 cedis club to help donate towards the cathedral by donating through the momo number 0555750000 or through the shortcode *979# and ADB, Fidelity bank amongst others.
The Chief of Berekum Traditional area, Daasebere Dr. Amankona Diawuo II charged various churches in the region to hold fundraising in their respective churches to mobilize funds to support the construction of the national cathedral. 
He called on benevolent individuals to also contribute their quota to the construction of the cathedral.
