Honorable. Kwasi Adu-Gyan, Bono East Regional Minister has on behalf of President Akuffo-Addo led the NPP government commissioned an ultra-modern office complex furnished with IT tools for the Ghana Immigration Service at Kintampo.

This according to the government is to help the officers work effectively.
Speaking to Soiree News, Nana Anfreh Damanata at a mini durbar of Chiefs and the Commanding Officers to officially hand over the facility to the Bono East Regional Immigration Service, Hon. Adu-Gyan observed that the era of monitoring and keeping surveillance of the country's borders by human eyes alone must give way to new approaches that can respond and deal with sophisticated methods being adopted by criminals to outwit Immigration Officers.
He observed that the emergence of coup d'etat and terrorism in neighboring countries calls on Ghana to tighten our borders to prevent bad nuts from entering the country and also strengthen the security systems to resist any foreign attacks.

Earlier in his welcome address, Honorable. Isaac Baffoe Ameyaw MCE for Kintampo appealed with the Ghana Immigration Service to create a Passport Office in the municipality to reduce the burden on applicants who travel from Bono East region to Sunyani, Kumasi, or Accra for passport acquisition.
Finally, Bono East Regional Commander for the Ghana Immigration Service A.C.I. Mr. Enock Abrokwa Annor commended the government for the multipurpose office facility that will help them advance in their operations.
