Bono East Regional Coordinator For Zoomlion Refutes Payment Structure Amid Scrutiny On Social Media
He added that the contract specifies the amount to be paid to workers and Zoomlion's management fee, refuting claims of unfair payment practices

The Bono East Regional Coordinator for Zoomlion Ghana Limited, Mr Emmanuel Abasiya, has emphatically provided clarifications to deny allegations made on some social media regarding the remuneration of workers' services under the company's program across the country.
According to Abasiya, the contract clearly outlines the payment amounts for workers and Zoomlion's management fee.
In an exclusive interview on Fabea FM, Mr Abasiya provided details on the contractual agreement between Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and Zoomlion, which includes stipulated monies aligned by the YEA.
Some allegations were made virally on social media accusing Zoomlion of exploiting its workers under the sanitation model and failing to adhere to the contract's terms.
"The contractual recruitment agreement stipulates that YEA is solely responsible for recruiting workers, and Zoomlion verifies appointment letters and Ghana cards before working with beneficiaries," Abasiya stated.
He added that the contract specifies the amount to be paid to workers and Zoomlion's management fee, refuting claims of unfair payment practices.
"The contract we have with YEA provides allocated monies for worker payments, as constituted solely by YEA," Abasiya said.
He further clarified that worker recruitment is the sole responsibility of YEA, not Zoomlion. "You can ask workers to provide their appointment letters; it's clear the recruitment comes from YEA," he stated.
Abasiya concluded by reaffirming Zoomlion's commitment to creating employment opportunities through its sanitation module.
