Branch Controller in the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Mr. Anthony Kwasi Logozdo has disclosed that three (3) suspected cases of impersonation have been reported to the police in the ongoing West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

He also revealed that Six (6) teachers have also been arrested at Bechem to assist candidates to cheat by solving questions.

Describing the development as worrying he said the West African Examinations Council observed that the then Bono Ahafo Region was tops in examination malpractice every year.

In an interview with soireenews.com Nana Anfreh Damanata, he said one impersonator has been arrested at Sunyani Business College while two impersonators have been also arrested from Oxford Senior High School all in Sunyani.

According to him, a total of 50,119 candidates from 127 Senior High Schools have been registered for the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination in the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions. They are made up of 28,209 males and 31,910 Females.

The examination is written in 127 schools comprising 42 private senior high schools and 85 public senior high schools.
