Blakk Rasta has announced his grief over the passing of his mentor and father-like figure, Baffoe Bonnie.

He took to his Facebook to reveal that the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the popular radio station Radio Gold was like a father to him.

The founder of the mother company of Radio Gold and former Presidential staffer under the John Mahama administration died from unknown causes earlier in the week on Monday, February 1.

Although reports suggest that he died from the COVID-19, none of the reports has been confirmed.

In his tribute post, Blakk Rasta recalled how Mr Baffoe Bonnie facilitated his memorable meeting with the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama in 2009 when he came to Ghana in a historic visit.

“The man in the thick mustache behind me is Baffoe Bonnie of Radio Gold. He facilitated my meeting with @BarackObama in 2009. He loved me like a son. He passed on today. Rest well, father... I am in sorrow…,” he wrote on his Twitter page.

Blakk Rasta has been trending in the news for his one opposition of Mark Okraku Mantey's eligibility as the deputy Tourism minister.

According to him, mark and his people would seek others in the creative arts industry for power if he gets to that position.

He expressed his shock that Obour is one of the lobbyists for Okraku Mantey in his bid to be appointed as Deputy Minister.

“Looks like Obour is going around industry people doing PR for ‘mature’ Okraku Mantey to be Deputy Minister. These guys will sell out their own people for power! We will torment them till they shed their selfish cloaks. The dragon never gets short of fire,” he fired.
