Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, Bill Gates has been hitting the headlines for his efforts in the fight against the virus.
He predicted a pandemic in a 2015 video that has gone viral again in recent months and now he has made another prediction, that of the end date for this crisis.

"The innovation pipeline on scaling up diagnostics, on new therapeutics, on vaccines is actually quite impressive," he told Wired.
"That makes me feel like, for the rich world, we should largely be able to end this thing by the end of 2021.
"And for the world at large by the end of 2022."
