Belgium team doctor laments on Hazard's recurring injury situation

Eden Hazard injury situation at Real Madrid according to Belgium national team doctor Kristof Sas is very disturbing in the career of the midfielder.

Although the situation of the former Chelsea man is revealed as not severe yet the rate at its occurrences is a distraction of the player’s career especially with the Euros soon to be honoured.

Hazard has already missed 43 games in a year and a half at Real Madrid through injury, as compared to his 20 during his eight years spell in the Premier League with Chelsea.

The 30-year old will sit out of games between four to six weeks after another muscle injury sustained on Wednesday during training.

"After the tests performed today on our player Eden Hazard by Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the left anterior rectus. Pending evolution," Ream Madrid confirmed.

Kristof Sas speaking to Nieuwsblad cited on Marca lamented on the Belgian’s worrying injury and spoke of the need to “urgently get out of that dead-end street" whiles it's not yet drastic.

"We are waiting for the details and to know more, but it is clear that it is worrying," Sas told the newspaper Nieuwsblad.

"Injuries at this stage of the season are not a concern for the Euro, it's even a period of rest. But with Eden it's different.

"It's another relapse, a chronic situation that always goes wrong in the end. First the ankle, then the muscle injuries. It's all very unpleasant.

"Eden is in a vicious circle and it's not easy to get out of it. It's disturbing what's happening with his muscles.

"A footballer must be able to shoot, turn, jump, all at high speed. And, of course, this is more difficult during rehabilitation.

"A fit player has a better chance of staying healthy. We would have preferred Eden to play every game for Madrid. It's the best way for him to be in top form for the Euros.

"He needs rhythm and continuity. The situation is not yet drastic for us, but he must urgently get out of that dead-end street."
