Veteran Ghanaian gospel musician, Amy Newman has indicated that she will not be taking it lightly with anyone who uses any of her songs without her permission.

The renowned musician sent this word of caution during a recent interview she had and according to her, she is prepared to drag anyone who finds himself or herself in this net.

She had the interview on TV XYZ and in her submission, she said;

“Now I have decided that anyone who uses my song without my consent, you will go to court and pay the money there for me to take it.

"That is what hurts me. It hurts me in the sense that I’m an old musician so if you want to take something from your mom, you ask, mummy, can I use your song? That is why I say these young guys do not respect us. They should seek permission.”

The singer who recently released her latest single titled ‘I am Redeemed’ also recounted an unfortunate incident that happened to her about four years ago.

She said she lost herself at that time and would not even want to be with people. Identifying the situation as spiritual, she expressed her gratitude to God for saving her.

Amy Newman stated that she has a strong belief the song will be a blessing to other people who are also going through what happened to her.

She was also thankful to music producer Kaywa for helping her with the composition and production of her new song.

Some of the songs she has released in her illustrious career include Okamafo Jesus, Tsie Me Moborsu, God of Mercy, Ateasefo, My Jesus, Ofata na ose Ayeyi, Na Ono na Obeye, Adom, Me metiabiara Nyame dom, Wodzen ye wanna, My Redeemer, Nsohwe More, Create in Me a Clean Heart, Eye Adom, Enye me Onsen.
