Be kind Life Ghana international, a non-governmental organisation, during the Eid-ul-Adha, organized a free health screening and blood donation exercise in Techiman, the Bono East capital.

The blood donation was aimed at getting enough blood to fill the blood bank and help various hospitals in the region to get enough blood supplies for patients who are in dire need of blood.

According to the executive director of Be Kind Life Ghana international, Mr Ameyaw Amakwah Prince revealed that the celebration of Eid presents the best opportunity to conduct the blood donation exercises since Eid is marked at putting emphasis on the need for the humanitarian exercise of which blood donation is no exception.

 He further added that everyone could fall victim to blood shortage and the donation of blood is the only sure way of filling the blood bank hence the need to donate blood.

"The blood you donate today could take care of you tomorrow or even help your family members," Mr Ameyaw Amakwah said. 

Speaking after the prayers, Bono East regional Chief Imam Alhaji Abdullah Musah urged all Muslims in and around the region especially the youth to be very decorous in all their doings and pay heed to all the safety protocols concerning Covid-19.
