Be job creators and not job seekers - Madam Justina Owusu Banahene

Bono Regional Minister, Madam Justina Owusu Banahene has urged graduands from STU to be job creators and not job seekers.

At Sunyani Technical University (STU's) 15th congregation ceremony on the theme: " innovation and entrepreneurship skills education for sustainable development."

On a speech by her, she said, "as graduates of this august technical university, you are required to come out with business ideas and plans, and seek the needed support that would enable you to establish your own business."

She also said, the Bono Regional coordinating council is ready to support anyone who is interested in taking advantage of the numerous job creating opportunity in the various parts of the region and express a sincere appreciation to the School authorities.

The Vice chancellor of STU, Ing. Prof. Kwadwo Adinkra Appiah, said the school has use the internal generated fund(IGF) to support staff training, and urged  the government to realease  GETFUND Staff development allocation for the to run the university activities.

He also appeal to industry and corporate organization to donate to the university endowment fund.
