Bayern Munich To Sign Premier League Midfielder For Tuchel
Bayern Munich have joined Arsenal in the race to sign West Ham United captain Declan Rice
Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign Premier League midfielder, Declan Rice, for their manager Thomas Tuchel.
The club have reportedly already held talks with Rice’s representatives in a bid to bring the West Ham United captain to Germany this summer.
The Bundesliga giants will have to battle Arsenal, who are preparing to submit a club record £92million opening bid to sign Rice and appear to be the current favourites to land his signature this upcoming summer transfer window.
According to reports in Germany, Bayern are also very keen on a move for the England international as well as his best friend Mason Mount too.
Bayern manager Tuchel is believed to be a huge fan of Rice, while the club’s board view him as ‘the perfect defensive midfielder’ for the Bavarians.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have reportedly identified Chelsea player Mason Mount as a midfield target during the summer transfer window.
Like Declan Rice, Mount will be in the final year of his contract at the end of the current season. He is said to be in a standoff with Chelsea over a contract extension as he is keen to secure a £200,000-per-week salary package.
According to reports, the Gunners are keen on securing Mount's signature as Mikel Arteta sees him as a player who can add creativity in a more advanced midfield position.
