Bawumia Is An 'Aplanke' Rather Than A Mate-Togbe  Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe

According to him, just the same way an "Aplanke", a Ga term is usually not on the vehicle, but mobilizes passengers for the driver's mate and receives a token, quite the same way he thinks  he might be.

Bawumia Is An 'Aplanke' Rather Than A Mate-Togbe  Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe
THE Senior Statesman and a founding father of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Togbe Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has liked the Vice president and the NPP flag bearer as an "Aplanke" to wit, a loading boy rather than the driver's mate he claimed to be.

According to him, just the same way an "Aplanke", a Ga term is usually not on the vehicle, but mobilizes passengers for the driver's mate and receives a token, quite the same way he thinks  he might be.
His comment comes after the selection of running mate for him, an activity he believes was not done by himself.
The Statesman alleged that the running mate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh popularly known as NAPO was imposed on him.
The senior Statesman who made this remark on  August 12,2024 in an exclusive interview at his residence in Accra reaffirming his position that Dr Bawumia, though a fine gentleman, but not on his own.
An 82-year-old statesman therefore revealed that when Bawumia's woes begun unfolding in the last four years, he finally concluded that he was not his own man.
"I wasn't surprised that finally the sort of choice he wants as a running mate, he couldn't get it and soon,it will come out that the person he wanted was Apostle Opoku Onyinah. He is quite interesting. Now,the person we have is Matthew Opoku,we shall wait to see".
He revealed that the NPP flag bearer has Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, the former Church of Pentecost Chairman on his raider as the running mate but that could not hold.
Describing the former Church of Pentecost Chairman as very a interesting person yet could not be made the running mate because the choice was made for him.
He expressed fears that  the 2024 elections performance in the Ashanti Region will be abyssal owing to the fact that there are seeming division in the party in the Ashanti Region, NDC's votes is appreciating as they garnered 30% in the last election, Mr Alan Kyeremanteng's concentration on the region and the splinter groups will also seek to have a portion of the votes.
"The monopoly the NPP used to have is dwindling.I made this sort of analysis time and again that 1992,the whole of Ashanti Region was our stronghold".
