The Member of Parliament for Suame Constituency, Hon Kyei Mensah Bonsu has entreated the Zongo Community not to be struck by words from the opposition parties that Dr Bawumia disregard their personality due to failure to meet them during his Regional tour.

The Vice president was supposed to meet the Zongo and Muslim community at Suame Kotoko in the Suame Municipality during his tour in the Ashanti Region but a ‘communication mix’ up led to disappointment but he later booked Saturday, November 31, 2020, to reconcile the lost time with the people.

“Bawumia has lots of respect for Zongos and Muslims because you are his family,” Hon Kyei Mensah addressed.

“The vice president was here last time but due to a communication mix up, we couldn’t honour our time. Because of that, he decided to make up for the disappointment.

“We do not want others to use it against him because he has brothers, nephews, uncles, fathers and mothers in the Zongo Communities and cannot disrespect you. He then decided to have time for you today despite his busy schedule. We are pleading unto you all to forgive us,” he added.

The crowd who seem not bothered responded with delight which permitted the majority leader in the Ghanaian Parliament to discourse on the purpose of their visit. He revealed policies introduced by the NPP government which has transformed the life of Ghanaians and Zongo communities and further assured them on new initiatives yet to manifest when Nana Addo is given a second term.

“We are reminding you all of the former president Mahama’s unfortunate implementations which were resolved by the current president Nana Akufo Addo. His promises are sure and despite the rebuff during his campaign on the free SHS and the rest by the NDC, he has fulfilled it all.

“Today you are benefitting from the free SHS, there is no dumsor, he has introduced planting for food and jobs, teachers and nursing training allowance is in place. There are many policies left to be attended to. All these would be possible if you vote for him on December 7.”

He educated the people that NPP occupies the first spot on the ballot paper therefore accurate voting should be boosted to prevent invalid numbers on votes cast.

“My plea during election is that the NPP is first on the ballot paper. We are no longer singing ‘4 more for Nana’ because people will choose to opt for the fourth candidate on the paper.

“Nana Akufo Addo is number one. Make sure to tick accurately in the box on his side. In 2008, we had more than 500,000 spoilt ballot papers and over 150,000 belonged to the NPP. Those figures could have helped us to win then.

"Please do not vote outside the box because the NDC will protest against if counted to favour. God will make NPP winners in December and we are trusting in Him for that.”
