Former Three Lions manager, Fabio Capello says the coronavirus will have an extreme impact on the finances of teams in the Spanish Laliga excluding Real Madrid.

According to the Italian, Real Madrid have the sound financial base to be able to overcome the economic consequences of the coronavirus.

Lots of football players in the various clubs across the globe have been forced to take a pay cut due to the wreckage of COVID-19 on sporting activities with major European Leagues forced to take a halt.

The break has cost a lot of money and this could hurt clubs that had a weaker financial starting point.

"I think that Real Madrid are the only team in Spain that won't come out destroyed by the pandemic," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are going to suffer a lot."

The Italian also believes there will be an overall change to the way the transfer market works.

"The market will be revolutionized," he said.

The Italian former professional football manager professed that fees paid to purchase football players were irrational and that transfer fees will return to normal.

"We reached a point where absurd fees were being paid and now we'll return to a more reasonable level."
