Barcelona offer up Antoine Griezmann amidst Atletico Madrid rumors
The Barcelona forward, Antoine Griezmannis not ready to accept any conditions to leave, simply because Barcelona find themselves in a complicated situation according to reports.
L’Équipe reports that Barcelona have reached out to Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspurs over potential deals involving former Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.
As it stands now, Barcelona’s financial situation is a mess, but the next big milestone for the Blaugrana this offseason is to sell players so that they can re-sign Lionel Messi.
Now, the French International has no incentive to leave unless it’s somewhere he wishes to go which according to all reports is only Atletico Madrid.
The best and largest asset the Catalans have to sell is French forward Antoine Griezmann.
Barca reportedly went back and forth with both Atletico Madrid and Juventus but neither came to fruition.
La Rojiblancos’ rumoured deal was a player swap with Saul Niguez and the Old Ladies’ deal was a player swap with Paulo Dybala.
The report even reveals a source close to the player stating that:
“Antoine is not ready to accept any conditions to leave, simply because Barcelona find themselves in a complicated situation financially.”
There’s also the issue of how Griezmann may be received back at Atletico.
President Enrique Cerezo has been asked about that this week and admitted he didn’t think fans would be able to forgive him for leaving.
