Some residents of Bagliga-Dakpemayili in the Tamale South constituency have lamented on the poor nature of road and telecommunication network challenges in their area.

Bagliga-Dakpemyili is a farming community within the Tamale South sub-metro and worried residents have expressed grief they are unable to transport sick people especially pregnant women to nearby health facilities during emergency cases.

Farmers who spoke to Soireenews told they have been economically affected due to failure to transport farm produce to market for sale as a result of the deplorable nature of the road.

The situation they say is a denial of partaking the national cake and have therefore appealed to the government to fix the only road leading to their community.

On the situation of communication, they disclosed that people in urgent need of relatives outside the community risk climbing a tree before accessing better network connection.

 "The worrisome part is that If there is any fire outbreak or any criminal activities ongoing, reaching out for help becomes tough due to the poor network connection and at the end, we are really affected.

"Many lives have been lost and sometimes, pregnant women lose their lives as a result of delays to medical facility," a resident told.

The Bagliga-Dakpemayili residents are calling to the government and network operators for an extension of the poles to their area to enhance economic activities.
