Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds turned 62 years old on Friday (April 10), and the R&B crooner took to Twitter to thank fans for their birthday messages -- but also to reveal that he recently suffered from the coronavirus.

"I feel so blessed to be able to celebrate another birthday," he wrote. "I tested positive for the Covid19 virus, as did my family. It's an incredibly scary thing to go through my friends."

Thankfully, he went on to note that they "have now tested negative and are on our way back to full health."

In celebration of his birthday and improving health, Babyface wrote that he "would like to officially accept the invitation from the legendary Swizz Beatz & Timbaland to participate with my little brother, Teddy Riley in what I'd like to call a Celebration of Black Magic Excellence."

The Teddy vs. Babyface livestream will go live via the singer's Instagram on April 18 at 9 p.m. ET, and he promises a "night of groove and love."

"Ladies...put on your red dress...light the candles, pour some wine, and don't forget to bring your dancing shoes," he wrote.
