Ghanaian rapper, Ayesem has backed Sista Afia's new diss track, labelling it as his favorite amongst all diss tracks that have been occurring between female rappers in the music industry of Ghana.

In the past few weeks, female rappers have been embroiled in diss battles over the rights to be the supreme female rapping artist. The likes of Sista Afia, Eno Barony and Freda Rhymez all have been throwing shots in their songs.

Ayesem is impressed by Sista Afia’s track and has asserted that he never knew that she could rap so good.

“For someone like Sista Afia, being a singer and rapping like that, I was really shocked. Trust me, the punchlines in there was amazing. There is so much power in the ‘She Get Nerves’ freestyle,” Ayesem spoke with MzGee on TV3’s New Day.

“I’m really loving it [the rap battle]. My favorite so far is Sista Afia,” he said.

He again applauded Ghanaian female rappers for the level at which they are hyping the music scene, also praising Eno Barony and Freda Rhymez for their efforts at providing proper entertainment for the fans.

He thrashed the suggestion that female artists were not supposed to diss each other by expressing that as long as male rappers were allowed to do it, females can.

“I think it’s really helped the industry especially this lockdown season. It makes people very happy and feel like there is future for GH rap so it’s really healthy. It’s normal, it’s part of the game,” he said.
