THE DISTRICT Chief for Ayensuano District Assembly in the Eastern Region, Madam Josephine Ansaa Awuku Inkoom could not hide her joy when Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) performance in the district has improved tremendously.
Addressing gathered at the Assembly's General meeting at Coaltar, the DCE pointed out that "at first out of 33 districts in the Eastern region, Ayensuano district used to be last when it comes to BECE Examination."
"But through intervention of the Second Lady Samira Bawumia with some teaching materials and training for the teachers in the district and some intervention by herself also as a DCE,they have moved from 33 position to 24 position which is a sign of transformation," the DCE recounted.
She added,she believes strongly that coming once will be far better than what they had last year.
In another development,she said the district has also improved in Internal Generated Fund (IGF) mobilization.
She said when she took over as a DCE,IGF collection was at zero percent but through public engagement and other strategies,they are able to get more IGF this time round.
She promised to be accountable to the district with regards to the little monies the people of Ayensuano district pay as tax and said she  will also used it to develop the district as is expected.
