The chiefs and the people of Awutu Traditional Council involving Odupong Ofaakor in the Central Region have imposed a ban on noise making on the entire Awutu land, starting from today June 1, 2021.

This caution became necessary when the Traditional in the awake of processes to usher in the annual Awutu Awubia festival 2021.

Speaking to Power FM News Reporter Alex Donkoh in a press briefing, Nai Kojo Assumang( I)the Tufuhene of Awutu Ofaakor Traditional Area averred that, this practice is their norms and with that, there are no major activities that go on.

Any individual, churches or institutions, bar owners, who are caught violating the customary tradition will be dealt with accordingly, the Tufuhene added.

Nai Kojo Assumang further noted that areas that will be affected include Kasoa and its surrounding towns, Awutu Ofaakor, Awutu Beraku amongst other Awutu Communities.
