According to the traditional leaders, the lack of necessary police logistics to combat crime in the area is a big challenge to the entire Awutu Bontrase community.

Aggrieved chiefs and residents of Awutu Bontrase in Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region have charged the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr, George Akufo Dampare to equip Awutu Bontrase police station with the necessary police logistics to combat criminal activities.

According to Residents, there are only six policemen at Awutu Bontrase police station without the necessary police logistics like a police patrol car, guns in the midst of rampant criminal activities.

Speaking to the media, they furthermore stated that, because the policemen lack the necessary equipment to combat crime in the area, they close around 6 pm, which is a big challenge to the entire Awutu Bontrase community.

They have therefore charge IGP to provide them with the necessary tools for Awutu Bontrase police station to protect life and properties in the area.

Meanwhile the Queen mother of Awutu Bontrase, Naakye Owude I has also expressed her grievance about the poor police logistics in the area and appealed to IGP to equip Awutu Bontrase police station with more policemen to protect citizens from the hands of criminals.
