Ato Forson Drops  Another Bombshell! -As He Accuses Government For Printing GH¢22 Billion Without Parliamentary Approval

The Ranking Member on parliament's committee of Finance who doubled as Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejumako/Enyan/Essiam Constituency in the Central Region, Mr Cassiel Ato Forson has accused government for printing Gh¢ 22 billion without Parliamentary approval.

The Ranking Member on parliament's committee of Finance who doubled as Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejumako/Enyan/Essiam Constituency in the Central Region, Mr Cassiel Ato Forson has accused government for printing Gh¢ 22 billion without Parliamentary approval.
Commenting on the 2022 Mid Year Budget review which was presented to the house  yesterday by the minister of fiance, he stated categorically that the procedure used by government to print such an amount is unacceptable.
Dr. Ato Forson indicated that the
Gh¢ 22 billion giving by the Bank of Ghana, excludes  the country's debt he therefore accused government for hiding information on public debt.
According to him, he noted that Ghanaians are suffering because the cost of living is prohibitively high. He added that business are collapsing due to poor management of the  economy.
The Deputy Fiance Minister and a Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah , speaking at a press briefing in parliament in response to the allegations made by the ranking member on finance stated that the Bank of Ghana has not printed any money.
He further explained that (section 30) of Bank of Act allowed central government and BOG to operate on overdraft basis. 
And for that matter the Gh¢22 billion given by the BOG to the government of Ghana is a loan but not printing of money, of which he described the minority accusations as baseless and untrue.
He explained that government has not hides any information regarding to Gh¢ 22 billion.
