The Citizens of Asuom in Diaspora have Donated a 5 Unit classroom block to Asuom Presbyterian Primary B in the Kwaebibirem Municipality of the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The donation came after the old building’s roof was ripped off and the entire building was destroyed by a rainstorm over two years ago.

The bad situation forced the school’s authorities to combine five classes.

Presenting the keys of the newly constructed facility to the Asuom Presbyterian Primary B authorities, the leader of Citizens in Diaspora, Mr. Mark K. Asamoah on behalf of the Asuom Mma group admonished the need to give back to the society after getting to certain level life via the school.

The building is made up of 5 classrooms, a Computer Lab furnished with 50 desktop computers, teachers' staff common room, and places of convenience for both teachers and the pupils.

He assured the residents of many things to come after the first huddle and urged the authorities to put good use to the facility.

Receiving the keys on behalf of the Ghana Education service, the headmaster of the Asuom Presbyterian Primary B school, Mr. Habib Alhassan welcomed the action by the citizens in Diaspora for their timing intervention to help the school manage the number of pupils enrolled in each class since the entire structure of Presbyterian Primary B was destroyed by the rainstorm.

He added that teaching has been very difficult since the broke out of Covid-19 in Ghana and it was problematic to observe Covid-19 protocols due to inadequate infrastructure to observe social distancing as three and four pupils were sharing a desk.

The headmaster promised to put good use of the building and extended his gratitude to the members of the Asuom Mma in the diaspora for attending to their urgent needs.
