The Asunafo North Blind Union in the Asunafo North Municipal of Ahafo Region says they have been left out in terms of support from government and cooperate organizations since the outbreak of coronavirus in Ghana.

"We are in difficult times, hardship on us have worsened with Covid-19, we only hear on the radio of government has given Covid-19 support fund to some people and businesses, PPEs to people, sensitization of its safety protocols, all these we have been left out, please we need your support". They lamented

Speaking to Soiree News 24 at a Covid-19 safety protocols sensitization program organized by the Asunafo North Municipal Health Directorate at Fawohoyeden, the Asunafo North Blind Union Chairman, Adjei Ernest said, the blind society is grateful to the Ghana Health Services for the wonderful education but appealled to the government to have mercy on them with support to relief them out of hardship.

The Asunafo North Municipal Health Promotion Officer, Sara Opare Gyan said the sensitization program was meant to educate the blind, safety Covid-19 protocols since it has no intention to discriminate against colour, race, disability, or physically challenged persons.
