The  Former Assemblymember for the Hwereso Electoral area, Honourable Williams Obeng has expressed his sentiment on how his community live without a place of convenience.

Honourable Williams Obeng's interacting with Soireenews publicized the dangers it takes for his residents to access a toilet facility.

According to him, the toilet was in a bad state before he was voted as an assemblyman and in 2016, he engaged a businessman who promised to construct a toilet facility for the community.

The site for the facility was inspected in addition with the elders in the community and the assurance from the man's end suggested three months to be completed.

However, the promise by the businessman has been in vain as community members still suffer for a place of convenience.

Honourable Williams Obeng emphasized that their old cracked public toilet is still in use by the residents and due to fear, some women have adopted open defecation as the best option to ease themselves.

The Former Assemblymember pleaded to the investor to assist the community to avert any doom on the resident.

Moreover, the Ejisu Municipal Assembly intended to support the Hwereso community with three toilet facility under the Ghana first toilet project.

The response from the former Assemblymember indicated there was no land to grab opportunity from the Assembly.

Honourable Williams Obeng alleged that a small piece of land that they intended to contract was halted by Ejisuhene Nana Afranie Okesse after the concrete was established.

"As I speak all the equipment for the toilet is in my house," he said.

 The community members have also registered their pleasure on how the unavailability of toilet affected them.

One woman who spoke with Soireenews suggested that the current state of the toilet facility is in danger and imminent of collapse which could affect lives.

Another also pleaded to investors and stakeholders for assistance.
