Following the incessant absenteeism of three MPs, the Speaker referred them to the Privileges Committee and present a report within a week.

 The long absence of some MPs in the House is depriving their constituents of responsible representations and in turn causing grave despondency on the expectations of their constituents. Such MPs include Honourable Henry Quartey, Honourabl,e Adwoa Safo and Honourable Kennedy Ohene Agyapong. In view of that, the Speaker as per Article 97(1)(c) of the 1992  constitution, a member of Parlvacate shall vacate his seat if he is absent without permission in writing of the Speaker, and he is unable to offer a reasonable explanation to the parliamentary committee on Privileges from fifteen sittings of a meeting of Parliament during any period that Parliament has been summoned to meet and continue to meet, therefore referred those MPs to the Privileges Committee of the 4, 2022on May 4,2022. The Committee was given just a week to present a report on the meeting of the MPs. However, it has evidence-week the one-week duration would have to be extended following the excuses of ill health Honorables. Honourable Henry Quartey appears with the excuse of ill health and hence sought the permission of the Committee to seek medical attention but promised to make himself available at his return somewhere next month(July). Then came the turn of Kennedy Agyapong who appears before the Privileges Committee 9, 2022 June 9,2022. MP for Adwoa Sarfo to appear on the 6th of July. MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong finally appeared before the committee of Parliament today. He took his turn as the speaker of Parliament referred him with two others to the committee for absenting himself from Parliament for 15 consecutive days without excuse. In an interaction with members Of the Parliamentary Press Corps, Ranking on the Committee committee of Parliament, George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan also hinted Dorme some MP for Dorme Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Sarfo has been rescheduled to appear before the committee on July 6 with MP for Ayawaso Central, Henry Quartey.
