According to him, the town's name Assin Breku has been in the news in recent times for bad reasons and does not auger well for the young growing district capital of Assin North.

The Chief of Assin Breku in the Assin North District of the Central Region, Nana Oduro Asiri Basayiadom II, has offered Gh¢5,000 rewards for information leading to the arrest of the unscrupulous person behind the incessant murdering incidents in the area.

He made this know in an intensive community engagement at Assin Breku which aims at providing measures to curb the mysterious killing menace.

According to him, the town's name Assin Breku has been in the news in recent times for bad reasons and does not auger well for the young growing district capital of Assin North.

He also advised parents to desist from begging on behalf of their wayward children when they are arrested for various offenses committed, he said, "I will not tolerate that going forward if we want our town to develop". 

Meanwhile, the Assistant PRO for Concerned Youth of Assin, Rankin Otoo, speaking in an interview outlined the measures District Security Council (DISEC) led by  the District Chief Executive of the area, Honourable Charles Ohene Andoh and the District Police Commander DSP Moses Osakonor had put in place to ensure peace and security in the area and commended them for the hard work to redeem the bad image of the town in the recent times.

The Chairman of the Council of Disabilities, Mr. Kwabena Nimoh also expressed worry about the trend of murder cases as it is affecting their livelihoods since the able persons are now victims of the murder cases which he called on the security agencies to intensify their security works to protect the citizens of the area.
