ASSEMBLY READY TO REGULATE OPERATIONS OF PRAGIA TO EASE ACCIDENT AND UNNECESSARY TRAFFIC

Some Ghanaians are still advocating the ban of tricycles for commercial purposes. The reason is that some of the riders lack some experience which makes their activities end up causing accidents, traffic among others.

However, The Suame Municipal Assembly has a view that their activities have come to stay.
The assembly has gazetted some bye-laws towards regularizing the operations of an okada, pragia, and aboboyaaa within their municipality.

The said bye-laws are the initiative by Suame security Coordinating Council, to ensure that the nuisance traffic at kronum created by operators of such motor vehicles is taken care of.

Mr. Tano George, the suame municipal coordinator says, the assembly has instructed the pragia riders at kronum to evacuate from the roadside effective Monday,17 January 2022.

According to him, Anyone who fails to comply with this directive by the Assembly would be arrested and taken to court for precautions.

Meanwhile the Assemblymember for Kyerease electoral area *Honorable. Elvis Nyantakyi has announced the allocated place for the pragia riders at kronum. He has warned the riders to vacate than to face the law.
