Ashley Young has turned down an offer of a one-year contract extension from Manchester United, according to Sky in Italy.

The player according to daily mail has been angered that Manchester United has blocked his move away from Old Trafford in the transfer window. The Red Devils offered Young a one-year contract extension to keep him from making a move to Antonio Conte’s side.

Sportsmail understands United's offer was a 12-month extension on the same £110,000-per-week wage. Young is understood to have rejected the contract offer from United.

Inter on the other hand are prepared to offer Young an 18 month contract on a figure significantly north of what he currently earns at Old Trafford at the moment, something United were aware of.
