Ashanti Regional NPP condemns John Mahama's Reckless Tribal Comments
According to the Ashanti Regional Communication Officer of the NPP, those needless and inappropriate tribal comments not worthy of reprinting have exposed John Mahama's covert tribal political agenda.
The Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) have condemned the former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama for his tribalistic comments aimed at humiliating Ashantis before the rest of the Ghanaian tribes.
At a press conference held at the Ashanti Regional NPP Office at Krofrom on Thursday, September 16, 2021, the Communications Director, Mr Kwasi Kyei highlighted that the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) display of rabid hatred for Ashantis during his recent “Thank You” tour in the region is unwarranted and must be stopped.
He called on all peace-loving Ghanaians to boldly condemned the doomed portrayed by John Mahama because such "ignition of tribal hatred by people in power has been a trigger of civil strife in countries and as a former president of the country, John Mahama should have known better."
“The undemocratic, corrupt and incompetent NDC, with its reckless and morally corrupt leader, President Mahama, cheering, blared in loudspeakers through Kumasi and its municipalities, saying that NPP doesn't regard northerners.
“The corrupt NDC that killed the once buoyant Ghanaian economy during their term of office throwing dust into people's eyes is not tired but rather inciting northerners to hate NPP government.
“Those needless and inappropriate tribal comments not worthy of reprinting have exposed John Mahama's covert tribal political agenda. As a former head of State, we expect John Mahama to know better. But it is obvious he is bent on consolidating political power through tribal politics after his corruption, cronyism, nepotism has exposed his unprecedented incompetence in managing Ghana," he added.
Mr Kwasi Kyei advised constituents in the Ashanti Region to be wide-awake and desire a better leader to rule over them when the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s reign finishes. He challenged that despite the harm done by the NDC government under John Mahama’s administration if he is still absorbed to be the Ghanaian leader, it is purposely for selfish gains and not about residents’ welfare.
“His create-loot-and-share government is appalling, to say the least. He is ready to trade the peace and stability of our nation for political power, through tribal politics. He couldn't care less what happens thereafter. This is the mentality of a selfish and wicked man as shown in John Mahama.”
