Ashanti Region- Driver Runs To Police Station To Escape Death After Killing A Woman.

 Hawkers we're in tears after a middle-aged woman died on the spot when she was hit and dragged by a trailer at Anloga Junction in Kumasi today.

Reports say, a driver of a trailer vehicle with a registration number GM 9871 13 had verbal exchanges with a trotro driver.

In the heat of the exchange of abusive words, the trailer driver yet to be identified got down from his vehicle to physically assault the trotro driver with a metal.

The trotro driver sensing a danger speed off using the Kumasi Airport road to escape death. 

The trailer driver reportedly got into his vehicle to chase the trotro driver and in the process hit and dragged the middle-aged woman who had a baby strapped at her back.

An eyewitness says, the woman had dropped from a trotro vehicle and was on the verge of crossing the road when she met her untimely death. 

The eyewitness continued that three others sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital. 

The trailer driver for fear of being lynched by the youth around after killing the woman sought refuge at the Oforikrom Police Station.

Hawkers around the Anloga junction after the incident occurred pleaded with the MTTD to enhance checks on drivers to curb unforeseen occurrences.

However, The three casualties e been admitted at the hospital responding to treatment while the deceased has been deposited at the morgue in search of her relatives.
