Asanteman Nkosuo honors New KMA Boss

The Asanteman Nkosuo, NPP Mpuntuo identifiable pressure has presented a citation in honour of the new Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Mayor, Hon Samuel Pyne.

The citation is to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of the former Ashanti Regional Secretary of the incumbent New Patriotic Party.

Sam Pyne was appointed by the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to replace Hon Osei Assibey Antwi, who is now the Executive Director of the Ghana National Service Scheme.

He was confirmed as the new Mayor after 55 Assembly members voted YES and 3 opted for NO. There were two absentees.

The Mayor was officially introduced to the Assembly today, October 15, 2021, to spell out his mission ahead of the years ahead and how he expects his staff to cooperate to build the Kumasi Metro. The Metropolitan City Guards, Environmental, Waste Management, Rotary Park Staffs, All the Sub-Metro Staffs were present at the gathering which took place at the premises of the KMA.

Chairman of Asanteman Nkosuo NPP Mpuntuo, Dr. Mohammed Issah Ababio applauded Hon Sam Pyne and expressed that he is a man who represents the interest of the people. He reflected that his previous appointments as an assembly member and the secretary of the NPP speaks well of him to deliver in his new office. 

“Asanteman Nkosuo represents anything good for Asanteman hence our arrival to meet the new servant of the Asanteman,” he told Soireenews reporter, Isaac Owusu.

“We have created a citation to applaud Sam Pyne due to the hard work served in the NPP as an Assembly member, Party secretary and now the KMA Boss. He is the right man for the job and we support him.”

Dr Mohammed Issah Ababio assured that the new KMA boss is of the grassroots hence their backing. He asserted that with his visionary leadership qualities, Hon Pyne will transform the environment of Kumasi and leave a better legacy just like his predecessors.

“We are also hoping he gets to work to resolve challenges in the Region. Everyone who took this position left a legacy as the boss and we are confident he will start working in no time to move Asanteman forward.

“He has enough experience as a leader and we are confident that he will make a good name in the KMA. He is of the grass root and he will surely deliver considering the work entrusted to his care.”
