The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is playing a key role in helping to sparkle the intensity  of Ghana’s Independence Anniversary in the Asante Kingdom.

Ghana is celebrating 63 years as a self-governing nation since it won freedom from the British.

The station of the program is nowhere than the capital of the Ashanti Region where Otumfuo Osei Tutu II reigns and owns the land.

 

 

The Asantehene arrived at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium at 9am with Lady Julia Osei Tutu to Grace the occasion dressed in the colorful Bonwire Kente cloth.

As proposed by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah at the at the Regional Coordinating Council for inhabitants to promote the royal legacy ahead of the Independence Day Celebration at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, so is the atmosphere.

 

 

“We must clad ourselves in the possessions of Asantes and be unique. The Adinkra symbols in clothes and the rich Bonwire Kente must be showcased to depict our origin as Asantes,” he said.

The rich Kente clothing has been dominant at the Kumasi 2020 with Ministers, Chiefs, inhabitants and foreign nationals clad in the attire.
