The Managing Director of Agriculture Development Bank in Ghana Dr. John Kofi Mensah has warned all Rural Banks Chief Executive Officers to immediately arrest anybody who has refused to pay back his or her bank loan and process them to court.

According to him, most rural banks are on the verge of collapse due to reoccurring debt their customers have incurred.

He warned all the rural bank CEO's in the country to be vigilant as people have decided to take huge bank loans to collapse and afterward go scote free whiles the banks collapse. 

He said the banks CEO's should check all their customer's banking records and their requirements for loans before giving out loans to them.

Speaking in an interview with Sorienews during the 39th Annual General Meeting of Enyan Denkyira Rural Bank Ltd in the Central Region, an Apex Bank representative, Mr.Emmanuel Korankyi also urged all bank clients and shareholders to register their Ghana Card for them to link their Bank detail to their Ghana Card to enable them to able to access banking services easily as is going to be mandatory in July 2022.

He said failure to link their bank details with their Ghana Card will affect their Bank transactions when the process starts in July.

He added that anyone who will fail to adhere to these changes of linking Ghana Card to his or her bank account details will find it difficult to transact business with any bank and their accounts may be deleted from the bank's system.

He also advised the people in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District to cultivate the habit of savings and also to invest in their share to boost the bank's financial strength in the area.
