YAW OPOKU At least one person has been killed and another injured after armed robbery attack at offinso mpehene a suburb of the Offinso south Municipality in the Ashanti Region.
The deceased, Kingsford Boateng, a 38-years-old photographer together with the injured person was reportedly shot by suspected robbers.
The sad incident happened on Saturday, April 16th around 9:45 pm
The victims were sent to the St.Patrick Government Hospital but Kingsford couldn't survive.
The injured whose name was given as Evans Amponsah is currently receiving treatment at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching hospital.
The family of the deceased are yet to come to terms with the situation.
However, Police have begun investigations to ascertain circumstances leading to the incident.
Soireenews engaging Sister of the deceased, Lorretha Oppong she recounted what happened to lead to her brother's demise.
She stressed that her brother and the robbers struggled for close to 20 minutes before shooting him.
Adding that the deceased was not the robber's target but was shot after he tried to prevent them from killing his mum and breaking into their house.
