A group calling itself Critical Thinkers has described as a complete out of context and sense the current attacks meted out to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) minority Members in Parliament (MPs) by some aggrieved gurus of the NDC including former President John Dramani Mahama.

The aggrieved members of the NDC accused the minority MPs in Parliament for betraying the NDC by voting and approving all the six ministerial nominees of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo after a heated debate and tense voting process on March 24, 2023.
Final results declared by Speaker Alban Bagbin showed that all nominees got more votes than the minimum of 137 votes required because out of the 275 eligible voters, there were three absent.
But, the convenor of the group who doubles as the former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Akatsi South Municipal Assembly in the Volta Region, Honourable Leo-Nelson Adzidogah in a press statement copied to Soireenews.com launched a blistering attack on the Johnson Asiedu Nketiah led NDC for wrongly attacking their MPs in Parliament for voting to approve the six nominees.
He argued that the Asiedu Nketia led NDC always engages in empty political bravado, stressing that the NDC has lost its credibility as a political party, saying that the leadership always disappoints their supporters who enthusiastically cheer them on.
He pointed out that this story is on social media characterizing the NDC MPs who voted to approve President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo's recent nominees for some ministries as betrayers.
He noted that the approval of these nominees must come from Parliament in fulfillment of the 1992 constitution.
"If this mandate is not carried out, government machinery may grind to a halt and this may make running of the affairs of the state difficult if not impossible.
"This consideration must underline the approval process in Parliament. If Parliament fails to discharge this responsibility, it will amount to a disappointment of Ghanaians," Mr.Adzidogah stated.
According to him, a closer look at the functions of Parliament, clearly reveals who betrays who in this political debacle.
He rethorically asked a question; Do the NDC MPs betrayed their party or the NDC as a party betrayed Ghanaians?, adding that every party in or outside Parliament is to constructively support government programmes and plans for the development of the country.
Mr. Adzidogah maintained that the members of the political parties have conscience and they depend on their conscience in undertaking their human activities.
"Where a political party decides to deploy party discipline in certain issues, it must be done in a manner that will not betray the people they serve. They must act in a way to promote the maximum welfare of the people.
"In the current situation, the NDC led by Johnson Asiedu Nketia is determined to run the President Akufo Addo's led government down through reckless political posturing which has only one aim; to make this government unpopular and make NDC popular," he said.
According to Mr Adzidogah, their own political ploy and action undermined their intended aim. Everybody can see clearly that at the end of it all, NDC is running itself down.
He went on to argue that what the NDC led by Ato Forson did in Parliament amounted  to treachery, stressing that the NDC has lost its credibility and moral authority in the House in particular and in the country in general.
Mr Adzidogah noted that they undermine the trust and confidence of their supporters, saying that they could not achieve the agenda they set for themselves because of excessive display of political emotionalism.
He maintained that the NDC always throws away emotional intelligence and engages in reactive politics.
According to him, the Asiedu Nketia led NDC always engages in empty political bravado. It has lost its credibility as a political party, saying that they always disappoint their supporters who enthusiastically cheer them on.
He stated that the NDC will continue to be a 'stronger weak' opposition party in Ghana. How can they now inspire confidence in their supporters in particular and Ghanaians in general? The NDC cannot stand the test of credibility.
According to Mr Adzidogah, the leadership of the NDC must learn their lesson from now and cooperate with the government for the accelerated development of the country.
He stressed that the NDC must take the advice to indulge in fair and constructive criticisms from now and start building credibility for themselves.
"The big question is; WHAT POLITICAL IDEOLOGY IS NDC PRACTICING IN GHANA? ARE THOSE POLITICAL PLOYS AND ACTIVITIES THE DICTATES OF THE IDEOLOGY? Mr Adzidogah asked, adding" what a big disappointment'.
