The Effutu Municipal Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Samuel Asiedu Okanta has sent a strong warning to some media outlets about a publication concerning his alleged involvement in land guard and 300 acres of land within the Municipality.

It was reported on Thursday, 25 February 2021 by some media platforms that the Winneba Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Samuel Asiedu Okanta, has been accused of fueling the activities of land guards which inhibited the development of the area.

His actions in the Central Region according to the news outlets with a 'frustrated' international investor is chasing away potential investors whose sole purpose was to bring development in the Winneba Effutu area.

Briefing the media on his side of the story, the Commander indicated that he has no idea about land issues and not even planning to purchase 300 acres of land to develop a project.

He therefore said, he has not come across any British investor that was to buy land for projects. He refuted that no journalist has visited him on such allegations levelled against him.

Chief Superintendent Samuel Asiedu Okanta warned the said publication to retract  the story and the news reporters to apologise for their action which has affected his name and family,

He cautioned that legal actions will be taken against the Journalist and the news portals for disseminating fake news about him.
